چکیده

Abstract For the design of a deep foundation, piles are presumed to transfer axial and lateral loads into ground. However, effects combined generally ignored in engineering practice since there uncertainties precise definition soil–pile interactions. Hence, for technical discussions interactions due dynamic loads, three-dimensional finite element model was developed evaluate soil pile performance based on 1 g shaking table test. The static consisted 50% allowable vertical capacity capacity. were taken from recorded data Kobe earthquake. current numerical takes account material non-linearity pile-to-surrounded contact surfaces. A ground acceleration adapted simulate seismic effects. This research emphasizes modeling by adapting MIDAS GTS NX software. will, turn, present main findings single under load. Consequently, results first validated then used further investigations. predicted slightly higher displacement horizontal directions than table. shear stress–shear strain relationship predicted. Positive frictional resistance closed-ended captured during 5 s when low values applied and, consequently, decreased became negative. Internal external open-ended pipe pile. Overall, with time until they reached last step minimum value. As result, evaluation study can be as guide analysis preliminary practice.

Experimental and numerical crashworthiness investigation of hybrid composite aluminum tubes under dynamic axial and oblique loadings

This research deals with axial and oblique impact crash tests on simple and hybrid composite tubes. Axial and oblique impact tests have been generated on simple and hybrid composite tubes with one, two and three layers. A drop test rig was used to conduct the experiments. Furthermore, in order to gain more detailed knowledge about the crash process, finite element simulations of the experim...

investigation of single-user and multi-user detection methods in mc-cdma systems and comparison of their performances

Inelastic Soil-Pile-Structure Interaction under Static Loading

In this paper, inelastic pile-soil-structure interaction under static loading is presented by using finite element and boundary element methods. Linear beam column finite elements are used to model the piles and structural elements. Nonlinear soil is modeled by using nonlinear springs along the piles. Modified Özdemir’s nonlinear model is implemented for springs and systems of equations are cou...

Modeling soil pile bioremediation

A model is presented for the analysis of bioremediation applied to an ex situ soil pile. The approach is based on the remediation of a pile containing the contaminated soil, which has been excavated from its original location, placed atop a bottom liner system and encapsulated with an impermeable cover. The liner system contains and isolates the contaminated soil and provides process control po...
